Throughout 2024, the Grid Deployment Office and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management will host a series of Convening Workshops with subject matter experts and decision makers, including Tribal Nations, state governments, and regional transmission operators to gather input about West coast offshore wind transmission planning needs and challenges. The kickoff webinar on January 17, 2024, will preview the goals and plan for the upcoming Convening Series. WETO's Offshore Wind Lead Jocelyn Brown-Saracino will provide opening remarks.
