Project Objective

Ambient Trends, LLC will develop software to enhance Home Energy Score™ by allowing homeowners to see savings opportunities when efficiency improvements are combined with time-of-use energy rate plans and connected home devices. Time-of-use plans allow utilities to manage energy use during peak demand periods by offering participating customers reduced energy costs during off-peak hours and maximize renewable energy sources. Integrating time-of-use rate structures and responsive efficiency measures with the Score can lead to more impactful energy improvements. The added data will allow the user to evaluate multiple scenarios. As time-of-use rate structures grow in popularity, the ability to incorporate this data into the Score can lead to even greater energy savings.
