Flatirons Campus Water System Project; Jefferson County, Colorado

Pursuant to the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has published a final Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Flatirons Campus Water System Project located in Jefferson County, Colorado (DOE/EA-2171).  The Flatirons Campus Water System Project would involve the construction and operation of a water pipeline and other related actions on and off the Flatirons Campus with federal funding from DOE.

The final EA identifies and analyzes the potential impacts to the human environment that may occur if DOE authorizes the expenditure of federal funding in support of the Flatirons Campus Water System Project. The final EA also includes a wetlands assessment of wetlands that could be impacted by the Project.
