The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the University of Maryland (UMD) (College Park, MD) to develop and validate models and machine learning (ML) approaches that establish quantifiable relationships between characteristics of municipal solid waste (MSW), time of year, geographic region, and method of MSW conversion to biofuel.
