In 2021, pursuant to E.O. 13990, Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis, the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) rescinded its 2019 draft guidance on addressing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in NEPA analysis and documentation. CEQ also announced in this notice that it will review, for revision and update, its 2016 final guidance on analysis of GHG emissions.
