June 11, 2019Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Rocky Mountain Region (RMR), proposes to conduct “danger tree” management along its Gore Pass-Hayden (GOTHDN) 138-kV Transmission Line. “Danger tree” management will be conducted within WAPA’s right-of-way (ROW) in Grand and Routt Counties, Colorado, between the Gore Pass Substation (Structure 18/3) and the Hayden Substation (Structure 78/9). This work is a component of WAPA’s vegetation management program, which is intended to secure and maintain a manageable and stable ROW that minimizes vegetative threats to transmission system safety, security, and reliability.
