The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the National Association of State Energy Officials to perform baseline energy code field studies in two home rule states to determine current building practices and enhance energy code education, training, and outreach to builders, building officials, and home energy raters in both states. NASEO and project partners would conduct the baseline studies. Results would be disseminated through presentations at conferences on related energy code topics, NASEO-hosted meetings and conferences, website, emails, and through program partners as appropriate.
