The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) for the development of new aerosol sealant formulations and the field testing of best methods for aerosol envelope sealing of unoccupied, existing residences. Development work would be conducted at Aeroseal’s Centerville, OH location and the Western Cooling Efficiency Center’s (WCEC) Davis, CA location. Field testing would occur in existing houses and multifamily buildings in California and the Midwest at locations that have not yet been determined.
