The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Home Innovation Research Labs (Home Innovation) to gather and analyze data to determine the prevalence and relative usage of various energy code compliance paths for new home construction. Home Innovation would compile the metrics gathered into a nationwide database of the relative incidence of residential energy code compliance paths methods. The project would be completed over two Budget Periods (BPs), with a Go/No-Go Decision Point in between each BP.
