The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Case Western Reserve University to develop and publish a study to model a 1000 megawatt Lake Erie wind farm and its impact in terms of capacity, variability and effective utilization of the wind resource on the potential interconnection to the regional transmission system.
