The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Iowa State University (ISU) to develop and validate a systematic process for identifying novel performance advantaged bio-based chemicals. The process would be developed and validated using flame retardant polymers and organic corrosion inhibitors as the exemplar bioproducts.
