A fuel assembly has been selected for analysis in Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL). The assembly will be loaded in an 8-Ton General Purpose Shipping Cask, and shipped per Onsite Safety Assessment (OSA) and Onsite Package Authorization Form (OPAF) documents to SRNL. SRNL will remove the assembly from the cask in the Hot Cell. The assembly will have a small sample of a fuel plate removed. The sample will be collected for forensic-quality analyses by the SRNL and the assembly will be returned to Spent Fuel Project (SFP). Upon receipt the assembly will be removed from the cask and returned to storage.
