Feed material for the Actinide Removal Process (ARP) and the Modular Caustic Side Solvent Extraction Unit (MCU) must be carefully qualified before the material can be processed through those 2 units. As part of the qualification processes, Savannah River National Laboratory is tasked with several items. First, the feed material (Tank 21H) must be extensively analyzed. Afterwards, portions of this material, combined with a previous sample of Tank 49H will undergo a MST strike test and an Extraction-Scrub-Strip (ESS) test.
