The Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the South Carolina Office of Regulatory Staff-Energy Office (ORS-EO) to purchase and install a 159.75 kW roof mounted photovoltaic (PV) system. The system would include the installation of solar modules, inverters, mounting brackets, racking, PV wire, and conduit at 219 Varnfield Drive Summerville, SC, a private manufacturing facility. Additionally, a pad mounted transformer would be placed beside the existing transformer and current transformer meter on a concrete pad in the parking lot adjacent to the building. No other ground disturbance would occur. The PV system would be grid connected. The roof would not require any structural modifications. No other building modifications would be required. A complete testing of the installation would be completed to ensure the system will perform correctly.
