The Central Basin Municipal Water District will use the Department of Energy American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding for the purchase, implementation, and installation of Irrigation Smart Controllers, which adjust according to weather and/or management commands. As part of the controller installation program, pressure sensors, servers, wireless cell phones, and hydroearth controllers will be purchased and installed. Project activities also include planning, design, data analysis, education and outreach for energy and water management issues, and a review process for residential and commercial settings.
