Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block grant project. The City of Tanana will use the Department of Energy American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding for: (1) energy efficiency retrofits of the three main public facilities at Tanana, Alaska; (2) construct biomass "Energy Centers" at the schools and Tribal Complex; (3) workforce training of village residents; and (4) implement market transformations from oil-based energy systems to energy efficiency and biomass systems.
