Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funds. The County of Hidalgo, Texas would use the Department of Energy funds for the retrofitting of existing lights/poles with new poles and lights individually powered by pole mounted solar panels. All new poles will be located within existing light pole locations to eliminate/minimize ground disturbances.
