The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity will provide $62,265 of Recovery Act funding to the City of Arcola to purchase and install a 40 kilowatt wind turbine on a 120-foot self-supporting tower at its waste water treatment plant in Arcola, Illinois. The electricity generated by the wind turbine will be used on-site to reduce purchase of utility generated power.
