The State of Illinois will provide $42,000 in Recovery Act funds to Spoon River College to cover the costs associated with the installation of a ground source heat pump system and corresponding heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment. The vertical closed loop system has a total heating and cooling capacity of 42-tons serving 9 heat pumps for the classrooms.
