The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the Georgia Tech Research Corporation (GT) to organize, execute and evaluate an academic program to train graduate-level engineering students in the area of cyber manufacturing. The Enhanced Preparation for Intelligent Cybermanufacturing Systems (EPICS) program would be carried out over a 21-month period and would provide classroom training to four cohorts of GT engineering students, along with on-site internship opportunities at industrial partners’ facilities.
