The Town of Amherst?s strategy works towards the goals of improving energy efficiency and reducing total energy use by focusing on activity #5 Energy Efficient Retrofits as described in the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The Town of Amherst released a Climate Action Plan in 2005. The EECBG activity is consistent with the plan?s overarching goal of reducing fossil fuel emissions through implementation of energy efficiency measures and conservation efforts.
