Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. 1) Administration, support, and oversight of programs/plans under the Ulster County Government Energy Policy and development of a sustainability website, 2) conduct comprehensive energy audits, 3) purchase hybrid vehicles, 4) engineering design for replacement of existing street lighting fixtures/poles with LED (light-emitting diode) and solar, 5) installation of photovoltaic solar system on existing roof at substation material storage facility, and 6) installation of a solar-powered sign at the fairgrounds entrance.
