Western Area Power Administration (Western) proposes to repair the access road/driveway into the Hygiene Substation. There is a low spot in the middle of the driveway that impedes maneuvering of large maintenance equipment in and out of the yard. Western plans to fill the low spot with road base and crumbled concrete fill. The Hygiene Substation is located in Boulder County, approximately 2 miles northwest of Longmont, Colorado. All proposed construction will occur within the existing, disturbed substation access road/driveway.
