Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. The Coushatta of Louisiana proposes to install an approximate 4.3 kilowatt solar system consisting of a solar panel grid-tied system using 200-watt Sanyo panels, Xantrex Inverters, and Unirac mounting on the tribe's 8-bay hydroponic greenhouse which is on reservation land adjacent to the tribal Heritage Department. The front structure houses three large water tanks and the electrical computer systems that control delivery of nutrients to plants and climate controls and will provide sufficient renewable energy to meet the mechanical and electrical needs of the entire hydroponic greenhouse system.
