Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant for: 1) Development of an energy efficiency and conservation strategy (completed); 2) installation of 150 kilowatt direct current solar photovoltaic system on the Main Street Parking Garage; 3) retrofit of the City Hall/Memorial Hall (94 years old) including skylights, lighting systems, windows, boiler, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning cooling tower, and water conservation improvements; 4) establishment and implementation of energy efficiency home improvements grant, revolving loan, and rebate programs; 5) funding of commercial building energy efficiency projects through the Governor's Energy Office's Main Street Program; 6) establishment of a local energy office and employment of an Energy and sustainability Coordinator; and 7) development of a pedestrian walkability plan.
