The State of Illinois will provide $100,000 in Recovery Act funds to the Hiawatha Community Unit School District #426 to install a ground source heat pump system at the high school. The system will replace the existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning components at the school and permit individual classroom control of temperature, heating, and cooling. Existing unit ventilators and perimeter heating elements, including controls, will be replaced by the new equipment.
