Sandia National Laboratories/California (SNL/CA) proposes to design and make block copolymers that will self-assemble into thermodynamically favorable, ordered nano-domains suitable for chemical modification in order to control transport properties. Design, development, and fabrication of the copolymers would be conducted at existing laboratories at SNL/CA, as would initial characterization. Additional characterization would be performed at New Mexico State University, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
