The Sanitary Landfill (SLF) is currently in post-closure care and is a Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)-permitted facility under SCHWMR R.61-79.264. The 2000 RCRA Part B Permit Renewal Application for the SLF Post Closure, Volume XXIII, Revision 5, was submitted on November 3, 2010. To facilitate Revision 5 requirements, a piezometer well will be installed to a depth of approximately 10 feet. The purpose of this installation is for additional monitoring of the 1,4-dioxane plume at the SLF.
