In conformance with the County Strategy to make buildings more energy efficient, Lancaster County will use Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funding to retrofit, upgrade and replace existing T -12 lights to T -8 within their work release building, hallway corridors and selective outdoor security lights. The project will involve replacement of ballasts and new fixtures which may include light-emitting diode lights and other energy efficient lights and fixtures. Lighting upgrades will be done at the County Prison facility.
