The Town of Leonardtown proposes to use Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant federal funding from the Department of Energy to replace existing motors from the towns waste water treatment plant with new energy efficient motors. The motors range from 1.0 to 50.0 horse power and are used throughout the water purification process. The treatment plant is a current operating and permitted facility authorized by the State of Maryland.
