The State of Oklahoma will provide $250,000 in Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds to Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies, Inc. (AERT) to build a new process line within a plastic recycling plant. The new process line will reformulate lower grades of polyethylene plastic into higher grades of plastic that are more marketable. The project is part of a $9,230,318 effort by AERT to co-locate its recycling plant with its hog feed-out facility near Watts (Adair County), Oklahoma. The hog facility and recycling plant has a rural postal address of RR1, Box 14152, Watts, Oklahoma 74964. EECBG funds will pay for processing equipment that will blend, homogenize, and reformulate lower grades of polyethylene plastic into higher grades with tighter physical property ranges and more uniform consistency.
