The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Sustainable Manufacturing Innovation Alliance to establish the Clean Energy manufacturing Innovation Institute for Reducing EMbodied-energy And Decreasing Emissions (REMADE) in Materials Manufacturing. The Institute is planned as a consortium established under a Cooperative Agreement with the DOE and with participation from numerous partners.
