The State of Iowa will provide $250,000 in Recovery Act funds to the University of Northern Iowa to install a 228 kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) array above the top deck of the University's Multi-modal Transportation Center. The Center is located at 23rd and Merner Streets in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The array will consist of approximately 1000 PV panels supported on a steel frame that will extend above the top level of the new parking structure and transit pavilion.
