Funding will support the project team's small-scale, research and development activities to develop a working hybrid solar collector prototype that generates heat and electricity simultaneously at an efficiency of 36% (higher than state-of-the-art thermal-only systems, which are typically less than 20%) and cost reduction of 13%.
