The Town of Duck is proposing to use Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to install a ground source heat pump system that will serve the heating and cooling needs of two, new municipal buildings totaling 8,000 square feet. The ground source heat pump system will be a vertical, closed loop system with a capacity of 23 tons. There will be 18 boreholes needed, drilled to a depth of 250 feet. Ground disturbance of approximately 1,800 square feet will occur to install the wells and the condenser water pipes.
