Florida International University is proposing a project that "will evaluate installed ground source heat pumps (GHSPs)/Hybrid GHSPs (HGHSP) systems energy use, savings and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction potential in hot and humid climates region (Florida, Louisiana, Texas, southern Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina)." They will analyze utility and performance data of GSHP/HGSHP installations. The proposed project will develop a calibrated baseline and performance period models of new construction and retrofitted buildings using EnergyPlus simulation program.
