Palm Beach County, Florida proposes to use $1.2 million dollars of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funding to help offset a portion of the cost associated with installation of a Digester Biogas Combined Heat and Power Renewable Energy Project at the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) Southern Region Water Reclamation Facility (SRWRF). The energy saved as a result of this project will be approximately 200 kilowatts per hour and the greenhouse gas emissions reduced (carbon dioxide equivalents) will be approximately 1,258 metric tons annually.
