The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity will provide $1 ,077,802 in Recovery Act funds to Bison Gear and Engineering (Bison) to purchase equipment to manufacture energy efficient gears. The equipment is a hypoid gear motor platform that will be installed within an existing building at the Bison plant in Saint Charles, Illinois. The new equipment and resulting product does not change the general output of the plant nor will it require changes in existing plant licenses or permits.
