The 503-2A diesel generator was installed in 1984. Diesel generators have a service life expectancy of approximately 35 years. The 503-2A diesel generator is obsolete and is experiencing excessive maintenance costs. If 503-2A diesel generator is not replaced, it is unlikely to be able to perform when needed.
