Savannah River Remediation has requested Savannah River National Laboratory to measure hydrogen generation rates (radiolytic and thermolytic) from various Savannah River Remediation tanks and Defense Waste Processing Facility process vessels. Savannah River National Laboratory proposes placing samples in a vessel with heating, mixing, and purging capabilities. Samples will be mixed, purged, and heated, and the purge gas will be analyzed via gas chromatography for hydrogen content.
