This activity involves the handling of both small and large quantities of kaolin clay, granite gravel, and potassium chloride pellets (KCl). Laboratory testing will be performed on small quantities of each to determine that they are acceptable common background radiation emitters. After laboratory testing large quantities of each (approximately 40 tons) will be purchased.
