The Town of Islip proposes to use federal funding to demonstrate the feasibility of a solar array system at the Blydenburgh Road Landfill Complex (440 Blydenburgh Road, Hauppauge. New York 11788, at the portion of the complex containing a capped and closed municipal solid waste landfill) to produce up to 50 kilowatts for the Town of Islip to reduce energy costs.
