Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) proposes to replace the existing building at Noxon Radio Station with a new 650 square foot building. The existing building, especially the floor, is deteriorating and presents a safety hazard to both BPA personnel and to the radio station equipment. To accompany the new building, BPA also proposes to install two new 1500 gallon propane tanks, three new underground fiber conduits, a new fiber vault by the new building, and to remove the existing building. To install the fiber conduits, BPA would excavate two 2 foot wide, 3 foot deep, and approximately 175 foot long trenches on a current fiber right-of-way next to the existing fiber conduit runs. In addition, the new vault would require excavation of approximately a 4 foot by 4 foot area and up to 4 feet deep in the proximity of the new building. Additional conduit runs would be made from the existing power pole to the new building to accommodate a power and fiber optics run to the new building.
