The purpose of the proposed demolition of the Site 12 Barn is to eliminate this building, which no longer has a useful function, from Fermilab foot print. This demolition is needed to ameliorate potential safety hazards posed because the building is structurally failing; additionally, removal of the building would alleviate the demand on maintenance resources.
