In the interest of reducing purge water volumes, several wells in the A/M-Area groundwater monitoring network previously equipped with variable speed Grundfos pumps were switched to either low-purge bladder pumps or Hydrasleeve sample collection devices.  Environmental Compliance and Area Completion Projects Engineering and Cascade, the Environmental Compliance and Area Completion Projects drilling subcontractor, will perform pump tests at the monitoring wells to investigate the drop in volatile organic compound concentrations.  The monitoring wells are currently listed on the Containerization List.  The expected large volume of purge water is not a new stream; therefore, the water will be managed via the M-1 Air Stripper per established protocols.
