The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the University of Colorado Boulder to research and design novel solar-cell materials using computer-based methodologies.
Activities associated with the proposed project would include literature searches, data analysis, and computational modeling to evaluate hybrid perovskite solar-cell work throughout the world. There would be no experimental or material development activities beyond computer-based calculations. All work would occur in research offices at CU Boulder in Boulder, CO. The proposed project would access the National Renewable Energy Laboratory High-Performance Computation facilities remotely through CU Boulder’s campus facilities.
