DOE's use of performance-based approaches in acquiring everything from routine services to construction of complex research facilities to environmental clean-up has yielded impressive dividends through higher quality performance and improved cost control by the contractor.

The use of performance-based approaches drives fundamental changes in traditional contract administration techniques, as well as the need for more effective contract administration tools. This training session provides an overview of the latest techniques available to administer performance-based contracts, including the use of Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques, a project management tool that can be used to more effectively administer PBA contracts.
