KANSAS CITY, MO – On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will deliver remarks at the Department of Energy’s 16th Annual Small Business Forum and Expo in Kansas City, Mo. Secretary Perry’s remarks will be part of the opening ceremonies, which are open press.

Small businesses create nearly two-thirds of all new jobs in the United States, and represent nearly half of private-sector employment.  So it’s no surprise that when the Department of Energy needs creative solutions and responsive logistical support for any of our many projects, we turn to this community for help. The Department is working hard to support sustainable small businesses through increased opportunities for small businesses at DOE, as well as developing a corporate pipeline that will enable program offices to provide opportunities for new ideas and concepts by a group of innovative and entrepreneurial minds.

Additional information about the Department’s efforts regarding small business can be found HERE.
