The University of Wisconsin proposes to conduct a series of experiments with advanced temperature and fluid measurement instrumentation (optical fibers, ultrasonic Doppler imaging, magnetic flow sensors, and hot wires) to obtain high fidelity data on thermal striping and thermal stratification in liquid sodium.
