The two air compressors (CLI# K-108001-CAS-X-X-CMP-001 & 002) in 108-1K are each equipped with variable frequency drives (VFDs). Due to a negative trend during the past several years in variable frequency drive (VFD) failures, a solution is needed to better protect these VFDs from electrical surges.
